أَخْبَرَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ حُجْرٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ أَنْبَأَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنِ الْجُرَيْرِيِّ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ الشِّخِّيرِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ أَخِيهِ مُطَرِّفٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ عِمْرَانَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ قِيلَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ! إِنَّ فُلَانًا لَا يُفْطِرُ نَهَارًا الدَّهْرَ،‏‏‏‏ قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ لَا صَامَ وَلَا أَفْطَرَ .

It was narrated that 'Imran said: It was said: 'O Messenger of Allah, so and so never broke his fast, even for one day for the rest of his life.' He said: 'He has neither fasted nor broken his fast. 'Ata said: someone who heard him told me that Ibn 'Umar (said) that the Prophet said: 'Whoever fasts every day of his life, then he has not fasted.

عمران بن حصین رضی الله عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ عرض کیا گیا: اللہ کے رسول! فلاں شخص کبھی دن کو افطار نہیں کرتا ہے، آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: ”اس نے نہ روزہ رکھا، نہ افطار کیا“۔

أَخْبَرَنِي عَمْرُو بْنُ هِشَامٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ حَدَّثَنَا مَخْلَدٌ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنِ الْأَوْزَاعِيِّ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ قَتَادَةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ مُطَرِّفِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ الشِّخِّيرِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏أَخْبَرَنِي أَبِي، ‏‏‏‏‏‏أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ،‏‏‏‏ وَذُكِرَ عِنْدَهُ رَجُلٌ يَصُومُ الدَّهْرَ،‏‏‏‏ قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ لَا صَامَ وَلَا أَفْطَرَ .

It was narrated from Mutarrif bin 'Abdullah bin 'Abdullah bin Ash-Shikhkhir: My father told me that he heard the Messenger of Allah say, when mention was made in his presence of a man who fasted for the rest of his life: 'He neither fasted nor broke his fast. ' 'Ata said: someone who heard him told me that Ibn 'Umar (said) that the Prophet said: 'Whoever fasts every day of his life, then he has not fasted.

عبداللہ بن شخیر رضی الله عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ انہوں نے رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم سے سنا اور آپ کے سامنے ایک ایسے شخص کا ذکر کیا گیا تھا جو ہمیشہ روزہ رکھتا تھا تو آپ نے فرمایا: ”اس نے نہ روزہ رکھا اور نہ ہی افطار کیا“۔

أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو دَاوُدَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ قَتَادَةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ سَمِعْتُ مُطَرِّفَ بْنَ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ الشِّخِّيرِ يُحَدِّثُ،‏‏‏‏ عَنْ أَبِيهِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ فِي صَوْمِ الدَّهْرِ:‏‏‏‏ لَا صَامَ وَلَا أَفْطَرَ .

Mutarrif bin 'Abdullah bin Ash-Shikhkhir narrated from his father that: the Messenger of Allah said, concerning one who fasted for the rest of his life: He neither fasted nor broke his fast. 'Ata said: someone who heard him told me that Ibn 'Umar (said) that the Prophet said: 'Whoever fasts every day of his life, then he has not fasted.

عبداللہ بن شخیر رضی الله عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے صیام الدھر رکھنے والے کے بارے میں فرمایا: ”نہ اس نے روزہ رکھا، اور نہ ہی افطار کیا“۔
