Chapter 76 of The book of funerals in Sunnan Nisai. Each Hadith below carries its Arabic text, its Urdu and English translation, its number and its grading.
It was narrated from Abu Hurairah:
That the Messenger of Allah announced the death of An-Najashi to the people, and he led thme out and arranged them in rows, and said the Takbir four times.
ابوہریرہ رضی الله عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے لوگوں کو نجاشی کی موت کی خبر دی، اور آپ ان کے ساتھ نکلے تو ان کی صف بندی کی، ( اور ) چار تکبیریں کہیں۔
It was narrated that Abu Umamah bin Sahi said:
A woman from among the people of Al-'Awali fell sick and the Prophet was the best in visiting the sick. He said: 'When she dies, inform me.' She died at night and they buried her without telling the Prophet. The following morning he asked about her and they said: we did not like to wake you, O Messenger of Allah.' So he went to her grave and offered the funeral prayer for her and said Takbir four times. '
ابوامامہ بن سہل رضی الله عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ عوالی والوں ۱؎ میں سے ایک عورت بیمار ہوئی، اور نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم بیمار کی بیمار پرسی سب سے زیادہ کرتے تھے، تو آپ نے فرمایا: ”جب یہ مر جائے تو مجھے خبر کرنا“ تو وہ رات میں مر گئی، اور لوگوں نے اسے دفنا دیا اور نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کو خبر نہیں کیا، جب آپ نے صبح کی تو اس کے بارے میں پوچھا، تو لوگوں نے کہا: اللہ کے رسول! ہم نے آپ کو بیدار کرنا مناسب نہیں سمجھا، آپ اس کی قبر پر آئے، اور اس پر نماز جنازہ پڑھی اور ( اس میں ) چار تکبیریں کہیں۔

Explanation
وضاحت: ۱؎ : عوالی مدینہ سے جنوب میں بلندی پر واقع ہے۔
It was narrated from Abu Laila:
That Zaid bin Arqam offered the funeral prayer and said the Takbir five times, and said that the Messenger of Allah had said the Takbir like this.
ابن ابی لیلیٰ سے روایت ہے کہ زید بن ارقم رضی اللہ عنہ نے ایک میت کی نماز جنازہ پڑھائی تو ( اس میں ) پانچ تکبیریں کہیں، اور کہا: رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے بھی اتنی ہی تکبیریں کہیں تھیں۔
