Chapter 14 of The chapters on charity in Sunnan Ibn e Maja. Each Hadith below carries its Arabic text, its Urdu and English translation, its number and its grading.
It was narrated from Abu Hurairah that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said:
Whoever is easy with (a debtor) who is in difficulty, Allah will be easy with him in this world and in the Hereafter.”
ابوہریرہ رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: جو کسی تنگ دست پر آسانی کرے گا، تو اللہ تعالیٰ اس کے لیے دنیا اور آخرت میں آسانی فرمائے گا ۔
Takhreej
تفرد بہ ابن ماجہ،(تحفة الأشراف:۱۲۵۴۴)، وقد أخرجہ: سنن الترمذی/البیوع ۶۷ (۱۳۰۶)
It was narrated from Buraidah Al-Aslami that the Prophet (ﷺ) said:
“Whoever gives respite to one in difficulty, he will have (the reward of) an act of charity for each day. Whoever gives him respite after payment becomes due, will have (the reward of) an act of charity equal to (the amount of the loan) for each day.”
بریدہ اسلمی رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: جو کسی تنگ دست کو مہلت دے گا تو اس کو ہر دن کے حساب سے ایک صدقہ کا ثواب ملے گا، اور جو کسی تنگ دست کو میعاد گزر جانے کے بعد مہلت دے گا تو اس کو ہر دن کے حساب سے اس کے قرض کے صدقہ کا ثواب ملے گا ۔
Takhreej
تفرد بہ ابن ماجہ،(تحفة الأشراف:۲۰۱۲، ومصباح الزجاجة:۸۴۸)، وقد أخرجہ: مسند احمد (۵/۳۵۱،۳۶۰)
It was narrated from Abu Yasar, the Companion of the Prophet (ﷺ) that :
the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: “Whoever would like Allah to shade him with His shade, let him give respite to one in difficulty, or waive repayment of the loan.”
صحابی رسول ابوالیسر رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: جو کوئی یہ چاہے کہ اللہ تعالیٰ اسے اپنے ( عرش کے ) سائے میں رکھے، تو وہ تنگ دست کو مہلت دے، یا اس کا قرض معاف کر دے ۔

صحیح مسلم/الزہد ۱۸ (۳۰۰۶)،(تحفة الأشراف:۱۱۱۲۳)، وقد أخرجہ: مسند احمد (۳/۴۲۷)، سنن الدارمی/البیوع ۵۰ (۲۶۳۰)
It was narrated from Hudhaifah that the Prophet (ﷺ) said:
“A man died and it was said to him: 'What did you do?' Either he remembered or was reminded and said: 'I used to be easy going in coins and cash collecting debts due, and I used to give respite to (the debtor) who was in difficulty. So, Allah (SWT) forgave him.' ” Abu Masud said: “I heard that from the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ).”
حذیفہ رضی اللہ عنہ نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم سے روایت کرتے ہیں کہ ایک شخص مر گیا تو اس سے پوچھا گیا: تم نے کیا عمل کیا ہے؟ تو اس کو یا تو یاد آیا یا یاد لایا گیا، اس نے کہا: میں سکہ اور نقد کو کھوٹ کے باوجود لے لیتا تھا، اور تنگ دست کو مہلت دیا کرتا تھا، اس پر اللہ تعالیٰ نے اس کو بخش دیا۔ ابومسعود رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ میں نے اسے رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم سے سنا ہے ۱؎۔
