Chapter 89 of The book of forgetfulness (in prayer) in Sunnan Nisai. Each Hadith below carries its Arabic text, its Urdu and English translation, its number and its grading.
It was narrated that Jabir bin Samurah said:
When the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) prayed fajr, he would sit in the place where he had prayed until the sun rose.
جابر بن سمرہ رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم جب نماز فجر سے فارغ ہو جاتے تو آپ اپنے مصلیٰ ہی پر بیٹھے رہتے یہاں تک کہ سورج نکل آتا۔
It was narrated that Simak bin Harb said:
I said to Jabir bin Samurah: 'Did you used to sit with the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ)? He said: 'Yes.' When the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) had prayed fajr, he would sit in the place where he had prayed until the sun rose, and his companions would talk and remember things from the time of Jahilliyah and recite poetry, and they would laugh and he would smile.'
سماک بن حرب کہتے ہیں کہ میں نے جابر بن سمرہ رضی اللہ عنہ سے پوچھا: آپ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے ساتھ بیٹھا کرتے تھے؟ تو انہوں نے کہا: ہاں ( پھر انہوں نے بیان کیا ) کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم جب نماز فجر پڑھ لیتے تو اپنی نماز کی جگہ پر بیٹھے رہتے یہاں تک کہ سورج نکل آتا، پھر آپ کے صحابہ آپ سے میں بات چیت کرتے، جاہلیت کے دور کا ذکر کرتے، اور اشعار پڑھتے، اور ہنستے اور رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم بھی مسکراتے۔
